Café Antonia at Le Bristol Paris

Paris, June 2018 & November 2018 –  Café Antonia is the informal restaurant inside France’s first Palace Hotel in Paris – Hotel Le Bristol. After a long haul flight, Mr. King and I were too tired to venture out and about the city. So we dined at Café Antonia, which was the perfect venue for a casual, yet beautiful meal.

“Marie Antoinette is the muse and face of Café Antonia, our namesake queen was called Antonia by her mother when she was a child. Antonia was also an avid lover of Parisian life, passionate about the arts and applauded at the Paris Opera balls, where she could escape the court’s strict etiquette. Her beautiful portrait which adorns our wall, is by François-Hubert Drouais and is prized amongst Le Bristol Paris’ private collection.”( Café Antonia)

The menu comprises of a selection of starters – like Palamos gambas carpaccio, scallops, truffle & chestnut pudding and pumpkin soup with hazelnuts, salads, sandwiches and main courses including salmon with lentils, roasted chicken breast with black truffle and cheeseburger. The variety is enough to satisfy any discerning customer.

As Café Antonia is also under the management of Chef Eric Frechon (famed for his 3 Michelin stars L’Epicure, also inside Le Bristol), the cuisine and service are top notch. It is also a wonderful place for afternoon tea.
