Phuket, Feb & June 2018 – In recent years, quite a few trendy restaurants have opened on this popular resort town in Thailand. One of our favourites is Suay Restaurant at Cherngtalay. Celebrity Chef Tammasak is masterful at creating interesting fusion Thai cuisine.
“Suay Salad” – Assorted salad, pomelo fruit, Thai basil, crispy fried soft shell crab and sweet chilli dressing
Grilled River Prawns & Lemongrass Salad
“Tom Yum Goong” – traditional way, hot and sour river prawn soup with lemongrass and straw mushrooms
Roasted Duck in Thai red curry with lychee and pineapple
Charcoal Grilled Salmon Steak, yellow curry from Chiangmai, udon noodles
Grilled Australian Rib Eye Steak marinated with coriander seeds, Thai green papaya salad
Sago Pudding with young coconut and mango ice cream
Mango Sticky Rice spring roll with flamed mango and black sesame ice cream
Every dish was delicious, although we preferred the meat dishes over the fish main courses. We ordered these for our last three dinners there, and they were tasty every time.
Suay has also been awarded the Michelin The Plate distinction.
