London, June 2018– In the recent years, I tend to choose smart casual restaurants with a lively vibe for our dinner destinations when travelling abroad. Roka fits this description perfectly.

With an established reputation (Michelin star status), Roka has several locations in London. Since we were staying in Mayfair, Roka Mayfair was just a short walking distance from our hotel. On this summer evening, the restaurant was completely full and the hip music playing in the background enhanced the relaxing ambience.
Roka specializes in Robatayaki, Japanese charcoaled-grilled cuisine. Here are the few dishes that we ordered.
Spinach Leaves & Sesame Dressing

Sea Bream Fillet, Ryotei Miso & Red Onion

Beef Fillet, Ginger & Spring Onion

Black Cod Marinated in Yuzu Miso – this is the signature dish, a must-try!

Grilled Chicken Wings

Grilled Egg Plant, Miso Paste

All dishes are designed for sharing. Roka is the ideal place to grab a light bite or date night.
