BAR MASA

New York City, December 2016 – When travelling with my son (4 years old), it is difficult to find restaurants that strike a balance between fine Japanese cuisine and children friendly atmosphere. Fortunately, BAR MASA is able to fulfill both of these criteria. The casual dining of renowned Chef Masa Takayama serves up delectable modern Japanese cuisine.

Conveniently located inside the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle, Bar Masa is a stylish bar that offers authentic modern Japanese food.

The menu is quite extensive – a la carte selection of chilled appetizers, salads, noodles, fried dishes, grilled fish, meats & veggies, rice and sashimi, sushi & rolls.

BAR MASA’s modern Japanese cuisine was served in small dishes, so the portions were a bit small. Hence, I would suggest ordering 4 dishes to be shared between two people.

We enjoyed the lively ambience. A 10-year old girl was celebrating her birthday there with her family, so Mr. King and I felt quite relaxed with our young child too.
