Dempsey Cookhouse & Bar

9 Dempsey CookhouseSingapore, May & August 2017 – My latest favourite restaurant in Singapore is Dempsey Cookhouse & Bar – a creation by world acclaimed Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten. This post is long overdue since I have already been there several times over the past year.

I absolutely fell in love with the décor – colonial botanical garden. The white rattan chairs are so dramatic, yet whimsical.

Aside from the hefty price tag on the signature dish – toast egg yolk and caviar S$38, the appetizers, salad, pasta & pizza were reasonably priced between $8-28, while the main courses were on average $35.

My dinner there in May was definitely more refined than lunch. Portions were generous and our selections were quite delicious.

Indoor seating is recommended, as it gets a bit stuffy on the patio, and the outdoor table facing the carpark must be avoided.
