Hong Kong, July 2017 – An Nam brings refined Northern and Southern Vietnamese cuisine to Hong Kong. The décor is elegant, and full of Indochine nostalgia.
Although most people associate Pho (Vietnamese soup noodles) to Vietnamese cuisine, Pho really is considered everyday street food. An Nam offers an wide selection of meats and seafood aside from its salads and soups. There were so many dishes that we wanted to order, but unfortunately, it was only the two of us. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and presented in turquoise-color pottery.
Deep Fried Spring Rolls were served with an abundance of lettuce, basil, mint and bean sprouts.
Steamed Pork & Mushroom Rolls were very delicate.
Crispy Chicken was served with the traditional fermented bean curd sauce, which really enhanced the flavor of the succulent chicken meat and crispy chicken skin.
Pork Knuckles Noodles, also served with the fermented bean curd sauce , was another house signature that shouldn’t be missed.
The restaurant is also a great venue for entertaining as it has 3 private rooms, which can sit up to 28 people. An Nam is an elegant Asian dining experience.
